The Early Bird Report: Sha Tin Sunday December 3

The Early Bird will concentrate on three dirt races and one turf race for the meeting at Sha Tin this Sunday.

Race 2 on the All Weather Track

The Bird likes number 6, NOBLE ONE, number 7, MIRACLES, and number 9, ALL IS READY.

NOBLE ONE trialled brilliantly at Cong Hua on the 23rd of November 2023, leading all the way under a hold to win by 10 lengths in very fast time. This was winning work, however, he is awkwardly drawn in barrier 12.

Number 7, MIRACLES, is a very interesting horse as he works and trials much better than he races. But we feel that this is a great opportunity on Sunday as he is drawn in barrier 1 with Zac Purton riding. He will be very hard to beat.

A third horse we would like to focus on here is number 9, ALL IS READY, who has recently won at this track, class and distance and indicated in a barrier trial at Sha Tin on the All Weather Track on the 10th of November 2023 that he was holding his form.

Our order here would be: 7, MIRACLES, from 6 or 9.

Race 3 on the All Weather Track

This race we expect to see a match race between number 5, MISSION BRAVO, and number 7, LUCKY BANNER, who were split by a nose margin at their last start. We feel that MISSION BRAVO may cross LUCKY BANNER but there is, however, the potential for a speed duel, which would hurt both horses’ chances. We still favour just these two horses – number 7, LUCKY BANNER, in front of number 5, MISSION BRAVO.

Race 5 on the All Weather Track

The Early Bird has been waiting for number 2, GREENWICH, to appear on the All Weather Track and we believe he is a special bet, he should win.

Race 9 on the C+3 Turf Course

The Early Bird feels that there are only two strong winning chances in this race. Number 6, MEEPMEEP, ridden by Zac Purton and trained by John Size, now that he’s up in trip and well drawn he is the best bet of the day. And we like the exacta number 6, MEEPMEEP, to beat number 2, HOLY LAKE.
