Prophet’s post-mortem: Deep race to launch Tornado
Chris So's Master Tornado caught the Prophet Of Probability's eye at Sha Tin, while there will be no more chances for a pair of Danny Shum-trained gallopers after disappointing efforts.

Sha Tin, Saturday 24 December
Summary/track condition: Mixed Turf and Dirt, Turf “B” course (26m wide). The track looked to play fairly evenly.
Blackbook
MULTISUPER (3YO gelding; Ricky Yiu)
2nd of 14 (beaten a neck); Class 4 – 1200M – (60-40); Win Odds: 2.2
Previous rating 52; New rating 54
it wasn’t a particularly strong race but Multisuper worked too hard in the run on a solid pace. He couldn’t get across to the fence early and then was a sitting shot late but tried hard to hang on for second.
PINS PRINCE (4YO gelding; John Size)
11th of 14 (beaten 4L); Class 3 – 1200M – (80-60); Win Odds: 55
Previous rating 61; New rating 59
This guy has copped double digit barriers in seven of his 14 starts and so it was again on Sunday, he raced three-wide without cover the entire run but showed some fortitude to keep battling away to the line.
MASTER TORNADO (4YO gelding; Chris So)
7th of 14 (beaten 4L); Class 3 – 1400M – (80-60); Win Odds: 21
Previous rating 65; New rating 63
The form out of Race 8 should prove quite strong and Master Tornado had to be restrained from the wide gate to near the rear of the field. He worked to the line quite stylishly and if he can finally draw well next time, he should race a lot closer to the lead and prove hard to beat.
FIND MY LOVE (3YO gelding; Manfred Man)
6th of 14 (beaten 3.25L); Class 2 – 1600M – (100-80); Win Odds: 44
Previous rating 83; New rating 82
This rising four-year-old was placed in a Group 3 race at Ascot on his last outing prior to Hong Kong, when known as Find and prepared by John and Thady Gosden. He looked to have found some of that form in an impressive barrier trial win on the All Weather 11 days prior to the event.
Unfortunately, he was slowly away on Sunday and lost all chance at the start as the race was run at a dawdle and horses back in the field had no chance to figure in the finish.

Treat with caution
GLORY BO BO (3YO gelding; Danny Shum)
3rd of 14 (beaten 3.25L); Class 4 (restricted) – 1400M – (60-40); Win Odds: 2.6
Previous rating 46 (unchanged)
This guy can go around without me. He folded in a suspect race on Sunday (Race 1) and I’ve got to question the ability of the horses behind him in that race.
GOLDEN BULL (4YO gelding; Danny Shum)
3rd of 14 (beaten 1L); Class 4 – 1200M – (60-40); Win Odds: 4.1
Previous rating 56 (unchanged)
He has found a way to get beat each of his three starts but Sunday (Race 3) was the last straw for me. He had the perfect trail but couldn’t finish the race off and looks suspect at the business end of a race.
